How to make butter/ghee using sheep skin

Algerian style of making butter

Butter made using goat, sheep or cow skin is still preferred by the Arabs over the modern machine made butter. It gives a unique , parmesan-cheese-like taste to the butter. The sheep skin is called shookwa or asamil. Please ask us if you have difficulty in getting one

1) Take some sheep, cow or goat's milk
2) Leave for 24 hour until it become thick
3) Fill the sheep skin with milk. Tie it and shake it vigorously left and right for 1/2 hour to separate the milk from the fat.
4)You will get fresh butter
5) Cook this butter and you will get ghee.
