Malaysian Paprik Rice Recipe ( Nasi Paprik)


Nasi Paprik (Paprik Rice) (serves 4)
This dish is very popular in Malaysia and Thailand and among university students because it doesnt take long time to be cooked as its cooked on high fire only for 5 mins

Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, sliced thin in 1-inch chunks
mushroom,sliced
2 cloves garlic, sliced
lemongrass, crushed
babycorn
onion,sliced
Broccoli
Large red chillis
Carrot,sliced thin
Cauliflower, cut small
lime leaves

Sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp thai chilli sauce
3 bird eye chillies (optional)
Sugar
Pepper
1/2 cup Water or stock
Oil

Methods
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in the wok in medium low heat and cook the chicken

2. Turn up heat and add all the vegetables and shallow fry until half cooked

4. Add oyster sauce, chilli sauce,bird eye chilli and water. Let cook for 3 minutes

5. Serve with white rice.


Ayam Masak Halia ( Chicken cooked with ginger)
This recipe is very suitable for women after delivery who needs to eat lots of ginger . The vegetables are half cooked, quick, very tasty and healthy

Ingredients
2 cups Chicken breast
1 white onion sliced
2 garlic, sliced
1 inch ginger, sliced
carrots, sliced thin (optional)
3 bird eye chillies whole
3 tbsp thin soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp oil to fry

Methods1) Cube the chicken
2) Mix chicken,soy sauce and sesame oil. Marinate for 1 hour if you have the time
3) Add the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 min
4) Add the marinated chicken and onion.
5) Serve with rice.
