Bajau people is one of the biggest ethnic in Sabah, Borneo Malaysia. They can also be found in Indonesia and Phillippines. They are divided into 2 groups:
1) Bajau who live on the land. They are very skillful horsemen and sometimes known as cowboys of the east.
2) Bajau who lives on the sea. They are fishermen and only set foot on land to sell sea products like fishes and seaweed.
The couple above are dancers for land Bajau. The lady's headdress is called serimpak while the man's headdress is called tanjak.

The above festival is called Tamu Besar where the land Bajau decorate their horses and a competition to show off the skills of their horses and the riders.
The lady above is one of the sea gypsies Bajau participants for Regatta Lepa festival held in April.

During Regatta Lepa festival held in April, sea Bajau would decorate their boats and there is a competition to determine the best decorated boats.
